ABOUT ME
When I was a young mother, I entered a regional contest for Toastmasters International, Humor category. I spoke about the misadventures of Camping and the MOM. On that stage, I used the word mom as an acronym highlighting the humor of a mom’s life in a camping environment; master of marshmallows, mother of monsters, mistress of mayhem. I was a nervous wreck when it came to public speaking. However I adored writing silly articles about life in general, what I see out the window, on the street, and the everyday little bits and pieces of life around me.
Over the years, whenever providing a bio of my life, I always come back to three words, Mistress of Mayhem. Now, having reached my supposedly mature years, it still brings me joy, and laughter, to look out my window at the squirrel safe on his tree branch, scolding the dogs who are circling the tree trunk. I smile, watching the little girls next door exploring ladybugs or making chalk pictures. More than anything else, I want to emulate that squirrel, creating just that little bit of mayhem in my corner of the world, inviting others to do the same.
Born and raised in Los Angeles and Orange County, California, I am now retired after more than fifty years in administration, and currently live in Sacramento. I have two children, eight grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren, not to mention all my siblings and cousins scattered all over the United States. God has blessed me well.
I enjoy writing strong character stories with a bit of suspense and a lot of laughter and have published three novels on Amazon.com and Kindle: Grace Period, The Sum of Her Love, and The Bird Tattoo Murders.
