Grace Period

Tina Oliver was married ten years to the day when her husband was murdered in front of her. An enforcer in a drug and gem smuggling operation, Tina’s husband was confident he could outsmart the smuggling ring’s owner, stealing and hiding money and gems.  Threatened by her husband’s murderer to turn over the money and product, Tina, a domestic abuse survivor, has finally had enough. Upon finding the items, Tina fears for her life. She knows that the murderer and crooked police in the smuggler’s employ will kill her regardless of what she decides.

Rebellious but unsure where else to go, Tina, runs to the safety of her aunt’s bed and breakfast inn. She knows she’s putting them in danger, but she’s also positive Ruiz, her husband’s killer, won’t be able to find her. She begins helping her aunt take care of the property and guests. It’s here that Tina finally finds peace after a decade of suffering and where she begins to heal.

She knows she needs to be honest with the police, but it isn’t until she actually sees Ruiz near the inn that she decides what to do next.
